Your diet is crap and you know it needs to change. You want to eat better, healthier, more nutritiously but you may not know where to begin. You may be shocked to find that those cracker you thought were healthy are loaded with sodium.  Even the energy drink you love is packed with empty sugar calories.

In addition to the nutritional information, the ingredient list may also surprise you. Corn syrup, artificial flavours and chemicals that you cannot even pronounce litter so many food labels these days. That is something you should really consider. Once you read every label, you will learn the foods you want to eat and those you want to avoid.

You may already know that drinking water is good for you but did you know that it can drastically improve your diet? Drinking water in between meals will help you feel full and keep you from mindlessly snacking on unhealthy foods. Drinking water while you eat will help improve your digestion and let your body get the most nutrition out of the foods you eat. Water help circulate the nutrients throughout your body keeping you healthy. Opting for a glass of water rather than another beverage will also help you cut unnecessary sugars and calories from your diet that are often lurking at the bottom of that soda can or energy drink.

These three steps may seem simple but you will be surprised at what a huge impact they can have on your diet. Making a clear dietary plan, reading your food labels and drinking lots of water will make you healthier and that is a fact.
